COL Financial Buy and Sell Calculator

To play the Stock Market game, you need to study the proper entry and exit when deciding to buy and sell a position. Remember always the mantra "Buy Low Sell High" is equal to Profit. Knowing when to buy is a pretty straightforward process.

However, it is difficult to determine when to sell a position because of two reasons: Greed – this is when you are looking at a green portfolio, and is expecting/hoping that the prices will still go up to maximize profit. Fear – your portfolio is blood red and is afraid of cutting losses or mitigating the situation by averaging down (Average Down Calculator).

Below is a calculator that I've created to help you in deciding of when are you going to sell your position.

COLFINANCIAL Buy and Sell Calculator

Instruction: Do not add a comma when inputting values. For example, you need to enter 1700 instead of 1,700 to calculate the values correctly.

If you have a position that you want to average down, then use the COL Financial Stock Share Position Size Calculator - PSE Calculator.

Stay tuned also for the mobile app version of this calculator. For the meantime, just visit this post every time you want to use the calculator.

I hope that this little tool can help someone out there.

Don't forget to spread the word about this page!
Thank you very much for this helpful calculator!
May I ask, do you also have a calculator with an input field for "Target Percent Gain", and will show an output of "Target Sell Price", so we don't need to scroll down too much on that long Profit/Loss Table?

Hi Rej,

I really appreciate that this tool is helpful to you. Don't also forget to like and share my FB and Twitter page!

To answer your question, your suggestion was my original design for this calculator, but I find it much easier to base it on the sell price than by using the percentage. I'll revisit this concept again to see if I can get around it.

Thanks!
