During the time of Moses, God's commandments was set to 10. However, during the time of Jesus, He condensed it into two.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. Mark 12:30-31

You cannot love others if you don't love yourself. It is impossible.

You cannot give what you don't have. So in order to bless others, you must bless yourself first.

One of the many ways of loving yourself is to receive the universe's blessings. One form of this blessing is wealth.

Now, there is this notion that God frowns upon the wealthy and delights the poor. However, there are passages in the bible that encourages us to have wealth.

It is not wealth that is frowned upon, but the people who have it and not utilizing it for God's purpose.

Let us try to explore some of the Bible passages about wealth.

But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. - Romans 8:25

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. - Galatians 6:9

Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. - Matthew 21:21

    The Power of Prayer

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. - Matthew 21:22

    The Magic of Giving

Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase: so shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst forth with new wine. - Proverbs 3:9-10

He who gives to the poor will not want, but he who hides his eyes [from their want) will have many a curse. - Proverbs 28:27

    God Wants You To Prosper

Beloved, I pray that in every way you may prosper and enjoy good health, as your soul also prospers. - 3 John 2

God Wants You To be Wealthy

But remember that it is the LORD your God who gives you the power to gain wealth, in order to confirm His covenant that He swore to your fathers even to this day. - Deuteronomy 8:18

    Closing Thoughts

"You learn to speak by speaking, to study by studying, to run by running, to work by working, and just so, you learn to love by loving. All those who think to learn in any other way deceive themselves." - St. Francis de Sales
