During the time of Moses, God's commandments was set to 10. However, during the time of Jesus, He condensed it into two.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. Mark 12:30-31

You cannot love others if you don't love yourself. It is impossible.

You cannot give what you don't have. So in order to bless others, you must bless yourself first.

One of the many ways of loving yourself is to receive the universe's blessings. One form of this blessing is wealth.

Now, there is this notion that God frowns upon the wealthy and delights the poor. However, there are passages in the bible that encourages us to have wealth.

It is not wealth that is frowned upon, but the people who have it and not utilizing it for God's purpose.

Let us try to explore some of the Bible passages about wealth.

Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. - Matthew 21:21

    The Power of Prayer

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. - Matthew 21:22

Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase: so shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst forth with new wine. - Proverbs 3:9-10

He who gives to the poor will not want, but he who hides his eyes [from their want) will have many a curse. - Proverbs 28:27

    Closing Thoughts

    Quote

"Fasting cleanses the soul, raises the mind, subjects one’s flesh to the spirit, renders the heart contrite and humble, scatters the clouds of concupiscence, quenches the fire of lust, kindles the true light of chastity."
